| #8P Watts Plastic Backflow Preventers are ASSE & UPC Code Approved. They effectively prevent back siphon of water into the potable drinking water system at the hose bibb, venting any higher backpressure to the atmosphere. This method is most effective to prevent cross-connection between campsites or other devices attached to hose bibbs in the same water system.
It consists of a corrosion-resistant thermoplastic body construction, stainless steel working parts, a rubber diaphragm and disc, a draining stem, and a internal tamper-proof feature. Series 8P is ideal for inside and outside, health hazard installations requiring non-continuous pressure such as camps, campgrounds, RV Parks, marinas, service sinks, swimming pools, photo developing tanks, laundry tubs, wash racks, dairy barns, camps, campgrounds, rv parks, marinas, and general outside gardening uses. Maximum Pressure: 125psi (8.6 bar) This backflow preventer does not use the usual break-away screws you would find on a brass backflow preventer. It has its own built in tamper-proof feature. |
