The X-1000E was actually designed by an active duty fireman who had been using the X-1000 unit. The new X-1000E is virtually waterproof as long as the Motorola compatible audio connector cover is in place. This unit has many unique features and includes the "Emergency Button" on top as required by so many of our 1st Responder Users.

The new X-1000 Series are the toughest, smallest most feature rich radios Tekk has ever introduced. Built in the USA by Tekk team members who have been with Tekk since 1985, the quality of this Series is comparable to the finest radios on the market at any price. The new Li-Ion battery technology allows us to make the smallest, lightest units ever.
